EXCEPTIONAL MEETING WITH SHIRIN EBADI, NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

If in 1969, she set herself appart by becoming the first female judge in Iran, Shirin Ebadi is above all a human rights activist and an advocate for the advancement of her country, particularly in the area of ​​women’s, children’s and regugees’ rights. In 2003, she was awarded the Nobel Peace for her significant and pioneering efforts for democracy and human rights in Iran. In 2009, the Iranian government froze her bank account and confiscated her prize as part of an increase in persecution of Iranian citizens who are critical of the current regime. She has since then been in exile in the UK.
